Ghana National Ex Goalkeepers Union honors Hearts of Oak’s & Black Stars’ Benjamin Asare

The Ghana National Ex Goalkeepers Union have greatly honored Accra Hearts of Oak’s goalkeeper Benjamin Asare for his impressive form this season.

The ‘Honor’ was led by former Ashgold shot-stopper Adjei Agyeman, the Union held a short ceremony at the Sunlodge Hotel to recognize Asare’s impact both at club and national level.

Black Stars Goalkeeper, Asare has been solid between the posts in his first season at Hearts of Oak, keeping 16 clean sheets with three matches still to play. His performances have also earned him a place in the Black Stars squad.

In attendance to honor Asare was the Head of Sports at Despite Media, Dan Kwaku Yeboah, Sports Journalist, Albert Parker of GBC, among other top football stakeholders. Former goalkeepers who once played for the national team and top clubs were also present at the event to show their support.

Attendees were proud of Benjamin Asare’s journey and hope this pushes him to greater heights. Benjamin Asare ended last season with Accra Great Olympics, also recording 16 clean sheets. His back-to-back strong campaigns have made him one of the top keepers in the Ghana Premier League.
