The stakes were high when the two-security services team the Ghana Police Ladies and the Ghana Prisons Service clashed in a match-day two encounter in this year’s Greater Accra Saholda hockey league in the women’s division.
The two sides in a build-up to the game on GBCNEWS had promised nothing but a win. It was Sergent Christiana Lawer opened the scoring on the 12th minute with a field goal.
Reformers searched for the equalizer but to no avail. In the third quarter Martha Sarfoa scored two more goals to put the game beyond the reach of Reformers Ladies.
Police Ladies displayed composure and attacking fluidity, sealing a second straight win. Sargen Christian Lawer, attributed the win to teamwork. Reformers captain Sargent Benedicta Adjei said they lost to a better side. Here are the standings in the Ladies division.
