The first edition of the Johnnie Walker Annual Ghana Golf Championship took place at the Achimota Golf club. The two-day championship, hosted by Johnnie Walker Blue Label, brought together 120 golfers from 10 countries.
The championship marked a new chapter in the country’s golfing culture, blending sport with luxury, heritage, and innovation.
For the organizers the championship was more than a contest — it was a platform for redefining how golf is experienced and remembered in Ghana. At the end outstanding players were decorated with souvenirs and trophies from organizers. The Marketing and Innovations Director of Guinness, Estella Muzito, said the championship represented a bold step forward and a gathering of excellence.
The overall winners in the men and women’s division’s Philip Ayensu and Leticia Amponsah Mensah described the experience as exciting.
The tournament coincided with Guinness Ghana’s 65th anniversary, symbolizing a legacy of excellence.
