CAF & Morocco LOC names Match Venues for Women’s AFCON, 2024

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) and the Morocco Local Organizing Committee have named the six match venues that will host the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), Morocco 2024, scheduled to take place from July 5 to 26, 2025.

The said match selected venues include the following: Olympic Stadium (Rabat), Larbi Zaouli Stadium (Casablanca), Père Jégo Stadium (Casablanca), El Bachir Stadium (Mohammédia), Honor Stadium (Oujda), Berkane Stadium (Berkane).

The Honour Stadium in Oujda, which can hold 35,000 spectators, has recently hosted a number of international games, either involved the Moroccan national team or served as the home field for other countries to finish their international schedules.

Lastly, RS Berkane plays their home games at the Berkane Stadium, which can hold 12,000 spectators. In addition to hosting matches in CAF’s Interclub competitions, it underwent renovations in 2017.

Ghana’s Black Queens have qualified for the tournament and are drawn in Group C alongside reigning champions South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali. CAF will announce the fixtures and specific venues in due course.
