At the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium, Exchequers of the Bank of Ghana stormed into their 2025 Sapholda Hockey League season with a dominant display against Reformers Men.

It was Raphael Agyapong who set the tone, converting a penalty corner to give Exchequers an early lead. That was soon doubled when Ebenezer Nortey calmly slotted in from a penalty stroke. By the end of the second quarter, Exchequers were in full control.

Ryan Takyi and Daniel Bemsah each added a field goal to make it 4-nil going into the break. Reformers came back stronger in the third quarter, with Samuel Agblie pulling one back — but it proved to be only a consolation.

Exchequers held their shape and composure for the rest of the match, sealing a solid 4-1 win and kicking off their title hopes on a high. The Technical Handlers of Exchequers said their target is to be an unbeaten side this season.
