Chelsea football club will not take on their £25m obligation to sign winger Jadon Sancho permanently this summer to the bridge.
However, Chelsea will pay a £5m penalty to Manchester United to get out of the obligation. Winger, Sancho will return to United at the end of June after being unable to agree personal terms to extend his stay at Chelsea. The 25-year-old confirmed his Blues exit on Tuesday night.
Jadon wrote on social media: “Grateful for the experience. Big love to everyone at Chelsea who made me feel at home – teammates, staff and the fans. “Wishing the club all the best moving forward.
Truly grateful, thank you Blues. “The winger scored five times during a season-long loan at Stamford Bridge, including in last month’s Conference League final win over Real Betis.
