The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the Black Queens, Ghana’s senior women’s national football team, will embark on a nine-day training tour in Senegal during the April FIFA international window.
This crucial exercise forms part of the team’s preparations for the 2025 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), slated to take place in Morocco from July 5-26, 2025. During the training tour, the Black Queens will engage in two high-profile international friendly matches against Senegal’s national team, the Teranga Lionesses.
The games are scheduled to take place in Dakar, with the dates to be confirmed, allowing Coach Kim Lars Björkegren to assess and expand his pool of players ahead of the WAFCON.
This training trip comes after a comparable camp that the GFA hosted in Morocco during the February FIFA window.
