The awards featured six major categories, showcasing the depth of talent in both the men’s and women’s divisions of the Greater Accra Regional Leagues.
The Female Category had the Best Player for February being Josephine Tutuwaah from Teshie Constant Ladies, Best Player for March, Francisca Benewaah – GRA Ladies and Best Player-April, Salamatu Mahmud – Epiphany New Generation.
The Best Coach-February went to Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo – Oaks FC, Best Coach-March, Kobby Mends – Sissamba Ladies and Best Coach April, Edna Quagraine – GRA Ladies. In the Male Category, the Best Player for March, went to Joseph Asare – Nayan FC, Best Player, April, Richmond Andy – Prestige FC and Best Player-May, Emmanuel Yaw Asiedu – Crimson FC.
The Best Coach for March went to Myson Mohammad – Accra Elite FC, Best Coach April, Abdul Mumuni – Accra Newtown Youth FC and Best Coach for May, Emmanuel Aidoo – Tema United. Refereeing Category saw the Best Referee Accolade for March going to Nazeef Sumaila, Best Referee April, Hakeem Husein Adjei and Best Referee-May, Bright Antwi. The Best Assistant Referee for March, went to Nathaniel Allotey, Best Assistant Referee April, Wagya Kojo Larbi and Best Assistant Referee May, Sency Apoya Aboeno.
The Board Chairman for Division Two League in the Greater Accra regional football association Mr. George Aforklenyuie, said the awards has added excitement to the leagues at the grassroot level.
GARFA’s Monthly Awards continues to shine a spotlight on regional football excellence, contributing significantly to the growth and visibility of the sport at the grassroots level in the country.
