It was a day filled with cheers, laughter, and healthy competition as teachers swapped classrooms for the field, taking part in a variety of games — from intense matches of Scrabble and Ludo to fast-paced table tennis, and classic contests like draught and tug of war.
Soccer brought out the competitive spirit, with teams from various circuits battling for glory, while the athletics track tested speed and endurance. But beyond competition, it was the camaraderie that stood out.
Organized by the Municipal Education Office, the event aims to promote wellness, foster collaboration among educators, and highlight the importance of work-life balance in the teaching profession.
The Municipal Education Director said they believe that motivated, healthy teachers make for stronger schools. She said they are committed to making this an annual celebration of teachers’ dedication.
With smiles all around and plans already in motion for next year, the first edition of the La Dade-Kotopon Teacher Fun Games has set a promising precedent — proving that when teachers play, everyone wins.
